  • Its nice to have a wedding program to announce your attendants and the people who are helping you. If everyone on both sides basically know everyone then don't worrying about it. Your wedding would be fine without a program.
  • I've never heard of a wedding program. And I've never run into them in any wedding I've been to and I've gone to at least 2-4 weddings each year.
  • Depends on the families involved. My wife and I got married by an officer of the court at my parents' house with just my family in attendance. Of course we had cake (store-bought), but no music. Photos were by family. If you or your spouse desire it, you must compromise. I sang at my sister's wedding. A friend played the organ. At my first wedding, again, a family friend took pix (they didn't come out well (a bit blurry and dark), but they DID come out. My grandmother made the 3-tier cake, my brother was best man, and her sister was her bridesmaid. It's up to you and your fiance.
  • My daughter and her husband had a wonderful wedding on a budget. I've had people tell me 2 years after the fact how nice it was. What made it so nice was that it was personalized, for one thing they didnt invite every one they have ever met they had only family and people they really care about which was about 150 people. My other children did the music, I made the cake. instead of favors they had a sign saying they were giving a contribution to a charity. They had the diner and dancing at a nice place, but choice reasonably priced dinners. They had a DJ for music, and a video photographer, who commented later that it was one of the nicest weddings he had done. They had a photographer, but not one that did trick shots and all of that. As far as programs, they had those. with names of attendents, and anyone who had done something special for the wedding. It thanked their families for there support and mentioned the names of close relitives who are deceased, but who are present in our hearts. What I'm trying to say is make it your own, it will be beautiful!
