  • Well the definition of a technical foul is an infraction of the rules concerning unsportsmanlike non-contact behavior. I can't realy give you an exact answer because I realy cant remember that ever happening in Basketball. I can give you a link that explains every aspect of a technical foul and even goes into history of how it changed the game of Basketball and the way defense is played today. I'm sure it will have enough information on a technical foul for you to atleast have an educational guess weather or not screaming or scaring a player is a technical foul. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_foul
  • The biggest thing to remember with the technical being unsportsmanlike is that it also "by rule" can only be called during a dead ball. We have seen it called many times when the ball is live, but in reality it can not be called at that time. So, the answer to your questions is NO because the ball is live at the time there is nothing for the referee to base a technical foul call on.
  • nope.. simple as that..
  • well... you can't run in their face and scream to screw them up... but i yell "shot" it distractes them and tells my teammates the ball is in the air
  • no if u goin up for the layup like that then no bcause that is just how u are.
