umm hell yeah

No, I respect the sport, but real men play American Football or Rugby. :-)
-
No, just more aggravated at the ridiculous salaries these pro-athletes make for hitting or kicking a ball when there are people in this country who have to decide whether to eat or get their prescriptions filled. Let alone the fact that the average family of four can't even afford to go to one of these games;)

No - but I'm English and I've been a football fan since long before he came along.
-
His wife has made me appreciate large round things, but not footballs.
-
David Who?????? Does that give you my answer?
-
No, he hasn´t. Soccer has never interested me by any means.
-
Not at all.
-
No, I've been a fan long before I even heard his name.
-
No one person has the power to make me interested in soccer.

Soccer. That's that game where folks run around all crazy-like and kick that little black and white spotted ball? No. A good soccer riot, now... I'm in.

I think David Beckham is probably doing a disservice to soccer as a genuine sport in this country. Reason being is that he is perceived as (and cultivates) a glitzy celebrity rather than an athlete. Everyone knows who he and his wife are (annoying hollywood people) but I'll bet a lot of Americans are unaware that he is even an active soccer player. They probably think he retired a long time ago and just came over here to pursue a showbiz career or something. The only thing he seems to be promoting here is his and his wife's celebrity. Maybe if they would stop all the modeling and magazine crap, people would take Beckham and his sport more seriously.
