I dont know if that helps for canker sores, but if you have a sore throat mix salt with hot water.

Salt is a mild antiseptic...that's why it helps clear it up. It's milder than commercial treatments and solutions and therefore is less irritating to the senstive sore. It helps and doesn't hurt, but it isn't as effective as other remedies.
