At 14,I would say first,how mature is she?do the parents know the boy? boys over 16 basically have one agenda,and you know what that is,before the sexual revolution of the 60's.it was pretty safe to date young,but now,14 is to young for true dating even boys her age without a chaperone.in many sociaties these day,age does not mean what it used to. there are many women of young age dating and marrying much older men and vise-versa , and have a great life together,so sometimes generation gap means nothing. These are just my observations,I would wait till 16 before becoming to serious about dating.

for the 17 yr. old boy-14..ahh still a bit young. it depends on her maturity level. 20 yr old boy- definitley not.

17 is pushing it, if he's 20 that makes you jailbait and he's in danger of being imprisoned.
