I always thought critical thinking meant using rational, unemotional problem solving skills. None of your choices would apply. According to The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga website (http://www.utc.edu/Administration/WalkerTeachingResourceCenter/FacultyDevelopment/CriticalThinking/index.html#what%20is): Perhaps the simplest definition is offered by Beyer (1995): "Critical thinking... means making reasoned judgments" In essence, critical thinking is a disciplined manner of thought that a person uses to assess the validity of something (statements, news stories, arguments, research, etc.)
