You're reading I went for my annual mammogram this week and they took extra pictures of one breast while I was there, they called me today to say they need me to go in for more pictures of the same breast - should I be worried?
Comments
Thanks, I called them back again today to ask what my new prescription should say, whether it should just be for a screening mammogram for the extra pictures as that was what my first prescription was for. They told me that the prescription should say 'right breast mammogram and bilateral ultrasound' now I'm even more worried...

It appears that the mammograms taken for both breasts have so far been inconclusive. Most likely your breast tissues are so dense (this happens a lot to big breasted women) that the technologist cannot tell if there is cancer or not. Ultrasound is another imaging technique that MAY be able to make a differentiation. If you are still worried, ask your doctor to explain this to you on your next visit.
