  • I try to get as much sun as possible, but when I can't I use "full spectrum" lights which emit light in the wavelengths of sunlight.
  • lexapro 20mg at bedtime. this helps like you would not belive. it does take up to 2 weeks to feel the perking up effects but for me it only took 3 days. if you can, paint rooms bright colors. use florecent lighting where you can. also, fast upbeat music in the car can help more than you would think. i have lived with it for the last 10 yrs or so and now i do well with it through the cold months.

  • YES. And it is one of the most painful experiences I have ever had. I could not stop crying due to the pain in my stomach. With time it seems to have improved though and I do not suffer it nearly as severely as before.
  • actually more people do than people are aware of. Suicides increase heavily in the winter around Christmas due to depression and the change of the seasons (SAD) so yes a lot do..they may not just understand it is a real condition that happens when the sun goes down and weather starts turning cold and gloomy
