A hot bath with jet streams pounding on my body.....and complete silence.
Being outside in the middle of the night looking at the stars in complete silence all alone.
Nature.
The soothing sound of a particular female voice.
music, being outside, meditation. In that order. Usually I stick with music.
Soothing music, green tea, and if I'm having a hypoglycemic moment, sugar.
Several times during the day I take a deep breath and do a brief meditation. It works for me. It does take practice. Btw, there is nothing that says a Christian or anyone else cannot practice za zen...or yoga.
being on my computer helps me to be calm,reading books
and the sound of water from the bath tub...just put your feet on nice hot water and read a book..
Sleeping... or getting away from the place that made me tensed.
Watching fish.
Being with things as they really are, rather than resisting reality.
Deep breaths.

Knowing that God is with me, everywhere I go...holding my right hand, holding me in His arms, letting me rest in Him. He leadeth me beside the still waters......just imagining myself walking with Him, or just walking into His arms for a big hug. Wow. Instant calmness!
Knowing that I did the right thing brings me great calmness.
Sitting or lie down comfortably and meditate.Turn a fan on if people are making noise and just relax.Also watch a comedy since laughter is proven to relax the mind and body.
Playing guitar or piano, listening to tunes, dancing, or taking drugs.
Love,

Rain,
Sun,
Ocean,
Animals,
Peace.
Put these together and I have complete calmness.

Petting my dogs, cuddling with my hubby
Daydreaming. Makes me feel that all is well amid the chaos.

I usually go for a walk if I'm stressed.

Abdominal relaxation: take a deep breath.
Muscle relaxation: tense your muscles and then release them.
Imaginary relaxation: imagine you favorite happy place and make an imaginary journey to it.
Musical relaxation: put on the music that makes you feel best, sing to it, and dance to it.

Being with my friends somewhere where we can share with each other the crazy experiences of the day or week. It makes me calm to hear their stories. Sometimes they can be quite uplifting.
