Several times during the day I take a deep breath and do a brief meditation. It works for me. It does take practice. Btw, there is nothing that says a Christian or anyone else cannot practice za zen...or yoga.

Knowing that God is with me, everywhere I go...holding my right hand, holding me in His arms, letting me rest in Him. He leadeth me beside the still waters......just imagining myself walking with Him, or just walking into His arms for a big hug. Wow. Instant calmness!

Abdominal relaxation: take a deep breath.

Muscle relaxation: tense your muscles and then release them.

Imaginary relaxation: imagine you favorite happy place and make an imaginary journey to it.

Musical relaxation: put on the music that makes you feel best, sing to it, and dance to it.

Faith. Assurance of love. ( And i find this through reading the word of God, plus love messages from my love.)
Positivism. ( only think of good things, never entertain bad thoughts)
Knowing i have purpose along with everything happening to me.Balancing the good and bad things that happen to me.
Knowing my self-worth. Being confident about myself.

Creations bring life, what brings calmness is: To vision and think beyond the issues or problems, for example don't just lookinto How trees gives you fruit and fulfil your desire for hunger or taste, vision how trees are benefial for the mankind or how to solve the desire of hunger. if you look beyong the issues and problems and go into their roots you will find kindness and calmness.

Yoga is another way of relaxing and feel calm download this yoga ebook http://www.relaxingyogaforbeginners.com , I am quite sure it will help.
