My boyfriend has a baby by a woman he hates. She aggravates him to hell, and always says there's something wrong with the baby just to get his attention. I think he loves me, but how can I tell?

The truth is in his actions. Sometimes that takes time to develop and be known.

I am still utterly baffled by the references to his ex and her behavior. What on earth does that have to do with his feelings for you?

You can't. Some time will have to pass for both of you before you come to a conclusion. You will be able to tell from how he treats you.
