Because you can't dictate who will or who won't look at you. Nor how they choose to react.

If a woman chooses to wear a low-cut shirt or top, that is her business, and not a green light for every slob on the street to break his neck leering down her top. It is such a ridiculous and quite frankly insulting assumption to make that because a woman wears a top that may be considered revealing, she's asking to be stared at sexually or is a prick-tease or a blue-baller if she finds being stared at offensive. So often, men completely pardon themselves of all responsibility or any act of tact or grace by having the attitude that if a woman doesn't want to be sexualized, then she shouldn't wear sexy clothing. That is unbelievably sexist, archaic and pathetic. Men are very capable of treating women with respect and dignity - not using the tired and worn-out excuse of "Well, I'm a male, it's my nature!" Actually, it isn't, if you have half a brain. I'm not denying that some women flaunt their breasts and enjoy the attention of being stared at or whistled at - that is their choice. But not all women enjoy this attention or should be subjected to it. We need to start respecting each others bodies a lot than we currently do.

Perhaps they want to get some meaningful feedback from men instead of being ogled. Instead of having guys gawking at her, she may appreciate some guy looking her in the eye saying, "You have beautiful breasts!"

Sometimes it's hard not to flaunt. I'm rather large chested and so every shirt I wear short of a loose fitting turtleneck makes me look like I'm flaunting what I've got. They pull the necks of my shirts down due to their weight and everything. So even though it would appear that I'm showing off my cleavage, the fact of the matter is that they can not be hidden. It's bad enough I have to deal with them, I don't want to deal with guy's reactions to them either. Although I don't get mad, I usually just embarrass a guy if he can't keep his eyes to himself.

It's not just the women at fault here, you know. A little self-control on the part of men would be nice as well. Yes, some of our clothes show off our bodies. So do some of yours, but I don't see many women walking down the street with a dead stare at the crotch of every guy they pass.

I would think women flaunt their boobs so men will look at them, so they have a reason to get mad at men. But, as we all know, women really don't need a reason to get mad at men.

i don't flaunt mine but i still get stares. but i think one reason is b/c some women are pressured to be sexy by the media and beauty ads, so they flaunt their sexuality and men usually assume that they think they know what they're doing. and some women know what they are doing, while some just want to look nice and keep up with current fashion trends. so its really a misconception b/t the pressured women and the men that stare.

I'm not sure why some women would be mad since I don't flaunt my boobs nor get mad but I have noticed that it really doesn't matter whether you flaunt your boobs or not, men still stare!

boobs or not, clothes or not, half-way decent looking women to extremely attractive women are cursed by men's stares. on the other hand, i wonder if boob flaunting is reserved as a pre-mating ritual reserved for the "right" alpha male and the rest can, well, go to the dogs.

I have always been amused by it. Sometimes you see a woman dressed like a street walker and she acts offended because someone is staring at her.

I went to this Formal party once and work a dress slit up to the hip and "V"eed narrowly down to my navel and the men at the party would Stare up and down as if looking for the curve of a breast- which I have little! The one man at the party that complemented my dress got a kiss and a hug and had a pleasant surprise!
