    Real estate is regional. You'd have to be more specific about which rural area to get a reasonable estimate.
    For example, an acre in a rural area outside of Los Angeles will cost much more than an acre in a rural area of Kansas.

    It really depends where you are and it changes a lot. Here in rural Iowa because of high corn prices, land sells for anywhere from $8,000 to $13,000. 10 years ago it sold for $2,000-$3,000.

    It depends, if it is near the a highway or far from the highway. Usually begin at about $1.000-$1.500.
