I asked my science teacher one day why is snow white and water is clear, he never gave me an answer so my question is clear why is snow white?

    The Special One

    It has to do with the structure of the snow flake. Snow is crystallized, so when the light hits it the light bounces around in there and comes back out without being absorbed at all - the result is white.
