Help answer this question below.
Ford did'nt change that body style until 1973 i belive.
There fore yes you can take a grille from a 1969 and swap it for a 1970 grille. But unless you absolutly want to do that i would'nt for two reasons, that truck is now 40 years old and those bolts on the grille will be really rusty. There is like eight bolt i think. The bolts are small so you will probably end up breaking them off then thats where you will get into problems. I know this because i have a 1969 f100 and i bumped into a tree and put a big dent in the grille and i had to replace it. If you do break the bolts off you will have to buy some new ones and either redrill the holes or weld them on. So unless you are a really good metal worker you will have alot of trouble. The metal is really thin and old therefore its really hard to weld. You could redrill but then it will look rigged. The other reason why i wouldnt change the grille is because Ford changed the grille style in 1970 to a more square look. Your truck would then look like a 1970 ford instead of the 1969. You can do that but if your grille is messed up it would probably be better to ride down to your local junkyard and pick up a grille off a old 1969. Then you will have a good grille and it will still have the respect of a 1969.
any questions about the truck i would be glad to answer.
