  • Cloves and clove oil are very good for toothache, they are a natural anaesthetic.
  • If you don't have oil of cloves a little brandy can help or perhaps a lot of brandy if you know what I mean
  • A green leaf on the tooth sounds silly but it is a help so i am imformed. Clove. Go to the dentist, that is the only sure way of having the pain permanently taken care of.
  • The tooth might need to come out.
  • Clove oil is supposed to be good, but the tooth obviously needs treated so as soon as the dentist is open i would get down there... is there not a relief of dental pain clinic you can call?
  • What I do is I just sleep it away. But if that doesn't help, I go to the dentist.
  • Get rid of the tooth...
  • Orajel. But the tooth is hurting for a reason. Need to have it looked at.
  • See the dentist immediately.
  • It depends what the problem is. There are products on the market for tooth aches but I never found them to be very effective. I'd go to a dentist for professional advice and treatment. There is probably an underlying reason for the ache itself. Using Oragel or something similar will just treat the symptoms (pain) not the cause.
  • Until you can get to the dentist, you can use Clove oil. You can get it at any health food store, it works very well. It does burn a bit at 1st, but takes the pain away. Also you can get Grapefruit seed extract also at a health store, it is a mild natural antibiotic. Mix a few drops in warm water ans swish it around in your mouth then spit out. But it is important you find a dentist as soon as possible to have your tooth checked, it could be infected.

  • The tips provided in the link below help me a lot in getting rid of tooth ache http://health.top54u.com/post/Toothache-Relief---Get-rid-of-a-Toothache.aspx
  • If an aching tooth has been filled recently, you will probably be about to go back to your dentist. But try this first: Brush the aching tooth with toothpaste, and repeat the process day and night if necessary. This worked for me a few months ago, even though the toothache was severe, and lasted for about 12 hours. Each time I brushed the tooth, it quietened down a bit. Eventually it stopped aching completely.
  • Well, it's either that word you've forbidden us to say, or the method Tom Hanks took in Castaway. So. Go get yourself a rusty old ice skate, no anesthetic, some scraps of cloth, a rock, and prepare yourself for a hell of a lot of pain.
  • Sorry, but the answer you don't want to hear is the only correct answer. Happened to me a couple times, it's better to get it taken care of now before you wind up on antibiotics before anything can be done by the dentist.
  • How about dental surgeon? Does that work better for you? Or you could go to a herbalist, if you like to gamble with your health.
  • If you leave it, it may well cause such a severe infection that may prove fatal, so obviously the dentist is your best bet apart from very painfully tying a rope to your tooth and a 10 ton truck and letting it drive off :o)
  • or you can get someone to knock it out with one punch
  • You need antibioeics to get rid of the abscess. then you need to have the tooth treated.
  • I've always found swilling Whiskey around the painful area works well for a few hours (swallowing it isn't necessary but also an option!)
  • Orajel and good oral hygeine
