Someone used my identity to rent a rental car. All my info was given to the rental company including my drivers license # , etc. and they sucessfully rented a vehicle for 3 days. can i sue the rental company for this

    Only if you can prove that the rental car company was in some way an accessory to the identity theft.

    Probably not, this is identity theft I don't think theres much you can do to the rental company but try to get a new number or something im not too sure about how to go about this though.
