i wouldn't recommend doing that. my suggestion is to let the eggs stay in the tank until they hatch. have a seperate tank set up for the fry. and move them after they have hatched.
if you don't remove the eggs from the tank where ther hatch other fish will eat them even there parents they think the tiny eggs or food never leave them in a tink put them somewhere els where theres no fish swmming around them PS my fish thout they where food so they eat them

My goldfish is developing black line on tail n fin. It swims weird and is most of the time at the surface(not 4 air) throws out all the food

My goldfish has his side fins clamped to his side and he just lays on the bottom of the tank then everynow and then shoots to the top and

My goldfish got ich. I gave it medication (bottle brand: Kordon "Ich Attack") but it's getting even more spots! Help!!

usually if the parents try to eat the eggs there is something wrong with them and they won't hatch anyway. A separate tank for them when they hatch will keep the parents from eating the fry.
