It sounds like a very common problem many cars especially Fords are having. Check and replace the fuel pressure regulator.
I have found that I can get my 89 F150 up into 2nd gear and stay around 1200 RPMs (20-25mph) I am able to "crawl" home without a tow truck. This may work for every car having this start up issue when it gets warm and stalls but starts up again after it cools down. Post ur confirmation that this helped you so others can see too. thanks for networking this problem from hell :-9.
check fuel pressure or spark when it is hard to start it sounds like a fuel pump

You're reading 1992 Ford Explorer- When the engine is cold it will start and run fine but once it is warm it will not. At stoplights, when you push the gas pedal the RPMs drop and it will shut off, and not start back up, unless you crank on it for like
