I think they "over-spent" for him, but it will work out in the long run! Just wish my Mavericks would have worked something out for him instead of chasing those Jason Kidd rumors!

It was a good trade for the Lakers. Gasol was the only thing going on for the Grizzlies, though.

Pau Gasol is so cool! I love to watch him because he is so tall and gets right under the basket to drop in easy points. So it looks easy for him. He's great! The Lakers made a good choice in acquiring him!

It's a great trade for the Lakers!!! I'm gonna keep singing the same song that I have been since the trade happened... They got rid of the train-wreck that was Kwame Brown. They traded absolutely nothing for an all-star. Yes Javaris could be good but by that time Kobe will not be producing like he is now and Jordan Farmar is good. The Lakers projected starting lineup is Derek Fisher at the point, Kobe at the shooting guard, Lamar Odom at the Small Forward, he could be one of the tallest Small Forwards in the league, Pau Gasol at the Power Forward, and Andrew Bynum, a future all-star, at center. Your Forwards are 6-10, 7 feet and then you still have another 7 footer in you center. This trade was very positive for the Lakers and if Pau can get back from his ankle injury and Bynum can just get back I think they will have a great shot to win the title.

I like that deal a lot. I think he will help the Lakers, and make Kobe Bryant happy/

Im a huge laker fan and if we didnt trae for Gasol we wouldn't have made it to the finals.As far as what will happen when bynum returns is that you will have bynum play center and have gasol play Power Forward,then trevor ariza can start at small forward and have lamar odom come off the bench to play with the second unit as the primary scorer when bryant isnt on the floor.

best trade for lakers since trading for kobe.they gave up a couple sorry players anyways...javaris crittenton,kwame brown,rights to marc gasol come these guys wouldnt have helped kobe win that championship last year.

I think that it is good for the Lakers but definetly bad for the Grizzles. Pau Gasol is a really good player and is good for the Lakers. I knew that he would start as a Laker. Him and Bynum make a good team down low in the paint.
