oak trees come from acorns it takes about 10 years to commercially harvest pine trees. for lumber it takes about 20 years to harvest oaks..normal planting is on a 20 x 20 plot or around 100 per acre. now if you want to make real money...plant oak trees and harvest them as live trees in 5 to 10 years on a truck with a tree digging device... a lot more profittable
