  • i'm overweight, and in america i'll be damned if i hear somebody call me or anybody else fat. my aunt went to nepal, and one of the little girls that she was treating said she wanted to be fat like her. i wasn't offended for my aunt because the little girl didn't know the context that americans associate with it. neither was my aunt. i guess it's because it has to do with context and people know what it means so there's no need to use that word for overweight people if they don't mean to be offensive because their vocab is most likely big enough to come up with other words
