Engine light on 1997 Saturn went on, knocking noise was the result. Had just been winterized 1 month ago,

    Did you verify that all the fluid levels were correct after you had it winterized? I had an incompetent flush-and-fill technician once who drained the oil out of my car, charged me for five quarts, but didn't actually put any of it in the car. Since then, I always check my dipsticks after having the car serviced.

    A knock is a very bad sign--you need to have that diagnosed immediately.
