  • If your 'oil light" was on for a week and you didn't check the level and refill it, you can be assured that you did some major damage to your engine. Why would you ignore this warning? If you were told about a coming flood or storm, would you ignore that too? Let's phrase the question correctly, you have a 2600 lb. paperweight that used to be a 1999 Toyota Corolla.
  • There is a very good chance that you have done major engine damage. Now was it your oil light, or the Maint. Required light because the Maint. Require light will always come on if its been 4000 miles since your last oil change and your car not starting could simply be a coincidence like a dead battery or something either way I would definitely get it to your Toyota Service dept. ASAP good luck with everything and in the future don't ignore those warning lights they put them there to protect you and your car!!
  • Nope...Ralph Nader made sure that a car with low oil pressure will keep running untill it seizes. Your engine sounds like it is hooped.
  • If even the parking lights won't come on it's your battery. If it's not your battery, then you're in trouble!
