The answer is yes because the manga is still continuing, its because they licensed the manga in the US and Japan is having trouble releasing the manga so its gonna be while before the next season comes out. If you watch the whole thing already then ill tell you that the ending for that first season was bullshit, none of that was supposed to happen in the last 2 - 3eps. It was supposed to flash foward ten years into the future and Clare still looking for that kid

ya well the ending may be shit to you but i think its so cewl caus we dont have the lasts season yet and they made sure that the ending of the 1st season wouldnt leave fans sad and wanting to watch more caus of the ending being crap. i was relieved just now when i watched the end, now i can wait for the 2nd season in peace.

Alright, in my opinion, I think there will be a second season because of two major reasons: 1. The anime had a terrible cliffhanger ending. A lot of people I know hated Claymore after watching the last episode. I'm one of those people. 2. Read the manga, guys. The anime loyally follows up to it until a certain point. But the anime probably had to abruptly stop because it was already caught to the manga series. They probably just wanted to end the anime just so the manga could catch up. Remember the Naruto "One Year of Retardedness Fillers"? Yeah, they don't want that to happen, again.
