YEAh but where i work if you dont belong in one youre usually the first to be fired for the littlest thing. rather pointless i say. I dont like being in the union but until the end of this month i belong to them.

Nope. And never will again. There once was a need for unions, but now the employment laws take care of the inequalities in the market. unions are nothing but bullying systems that get small gains for the employees and huge gains for the leadership.

Not currently. I have in the past, and have had good and bad experiences. I feel that unions CAN protect right of workers, but in many cases, the opposite occurs.

yes and have been a member all my working life , while some union leaders have been corrupt most are hard working and protect the worker and their rights against bosses who would like nothing better than to pay minimum wages and no conditions... just look at the way most of the U.S. workers are treated ... rock bottom wages and zip conditions

No, but I believe the people currently union members are the only ones who have a decent wage and job protection since corporations seem to be running this country. Any company that gets a union deserves it.

No. I think unions are just as corrupt as the government. I believe they had their place when the workers really ran them. When people started making their careers as union reps or lobbists with out ever working in the industry then it lost its direction.
