  • Having been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, I was faced with this very question. I would advise trying it out first with someone you feel would be most likely to accept it. See how it goes. There is no hard and fast rule. Most people in my life are aware of my diagnosis, but there are people I would never tell. You just need to do what feels right/safe for you. Oh... one more thing...I also advise keeping the topic out of the workplace. You'll just have to trust me on that one. :-)
  • My struggles with depression are here on the pages of AB for anyone to see. I don't advertise it in my daily life, but I'm not averse to talking about it- especially if it can help someone.
  • Only to the people that meant the most to me in my life. :) And maybe a few kind strangers. :P
