  • No, there isn't really that much trauma inflicted and they use local anesthesia to numb your eyes. You are awake during the whole thing and get to smell your eyeballs burning when they laser them. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=laser+eye+surgery&search_type=&search=Search
  • no it is not painful, they numb your eyes first. But you are awake with your eyes open the whole time, it is kind of freaky.
  • I had laser surgery 3 years ago. was strange but not painful at all. I never smelled it burning nor did they clamp my eye down. They deadened my eye which numbed it as well as paralyzed it. They did clamp my head down so I did not move my head which is important because the laser can harm you if you move. I was scared up front but after a few minutes that fear went away and it wasn't no big deal.
  • i seen a thing about that on how its made and they make sure that you dont feel anything when your getting it done. but for a few days untill it heals i bet that no meds can touch the pain you will be in. when i saw how it was done i stoped thinking of it and just wanna wear glasses.
  • only if you close your eyes during surgery.
  • Not painful. It is just you feel sad about your eyes. Because of the way it is done. My mother did it and she said after the surgery that it is hard after doing it because first and second day you will not be able to see. And that is really something Hard. It is just not painful. You will not feel anything you will just smell the burning of your eyes because of the laser! :p
