Well...they need to be cautious because these things can escalate and get out of hand...;-D... . . (starting about 4:00 into video) . .

There should be two officers...on behind the other...the latter watching the back of the first. It's best to seperate the two who are fighting...keep them apart until the situation has calmed down. Usually it escelates when one spouse sees the other being handled.

With caution. In our area, there are specially trained officers that respond to this type of call. Their training has provided many scenarios they might encounter.
