Question

Help answer this question below.

I'm a mom of 4 & have (obviously) lost my girlish figure. I'm not overweight, but would like to lose about 10 pounds & tone up my stomach, inner thighs, butt & lose my love handles. Anyone know a good workout without equipment? It's just me & the floor.

Get a Aerobic DVD, (Gilad's bodyshaping is good) cut sugars down, drink only water as your beverage, no breads and split your total meals into 6 instead of 3 while eating the same amount and you will be smokin. :)

The quickest way of loosing the weight is a two parter. Start by really taking a look at what you eat. Try to eat until you are satisfied and not full. My wife, also a mom, is doing the Weight Watchers thing right now. She lost 15 lbs in 2 months.

The second part is to exercise. Go on some long walks if you haven't exercised in a while. Cardio is a great way of dropping pounds. Set a time goal for yourself, like 30 minutes. Try and get out walking 3 times a week. When you get comfortable on your feet again try a light jog. Don't get discouraged if you can't run for the entire 30 minutes. Once you run out of energy just walk at a quick pace and then start jogging again when you feel comfortable. The goal isn't to jog the entire 30 minutes, it's to be active for 30 minutes. If you keep it up, your endurance will improve and you will be able to jog the whole time! Just be patient. Not only will your core strength and energy levels get better, but I always find that running tones up my stomach like crazy.

I don't know if the whole push ups and sit ups would be the best choice for loosing weight. Cardio really is the key. You might be able to do tons of sit ups and have a super strong stomach, but if you have love handles, you won't see the muscle since it sits behind fat. Cardio will burn the fat and then reveal your abs.

    Hi !
best thing you can do, is learn to move yourself to music. basically dance your heart out every day. put one of those samba, salsa, or even bollywood fitness videos/dvd on and off you go. I teach dance. some ladies that come to my class have been saying since they have been coming, they have lost some weight and felt generally better. It will ache the first few trys, then it will get better.once you become perfect go out and show off to your friends.you dont need any machine to do that.as long as you enjoy whatever activity you are doing, it will work for you.

I was in the military and there is no sense in wasting money. All u need 2 do is have a strict cardio workout. Try sit-ups , pushups strechting crunches all the things you learned in high school during that dreaded P.E class :)

to loose fat you need to do cardio... best cardio without equipemtn is running or even a brisk walk for 30 min every day.
As for toning at home. I suggest Pilates. You can find cheap DVDs at target. Some exercises require a ball or the rubber bands, but not all. It's great for toning those farget areas

your local library probably has some toning exercise DVDs that you could check out. like it is stated above, move for 30 minutes a day.

Check out You: On a Diet. it is not a diet per say and it lets you know how to target specific areas

With love handles, inner thighs, un-toned stomach and butt, you probably need to lose more than 10 lbs. Unless you have taken body measurements, including body fat, you're just guessing at an arbitrary number. You probably want to gain some muscle in your thighs and butt because muscles gives shape, fat is flabby. So take some bodyfat measurements, calculate what you'd need to lose to get to 20% or so, and go at it. (Google floor exercise)
In the end, you may actually be the same weight, but you've lost fat and gained muscle.

I would recommend dieting, along with working out.
But anyway, here's my best advice.
A 20 minute playlist of music, for your cardio
workout. Rotate from song to song between sprinting & jogging. Outside, if you don't have a treadmill. Oh & I would increase your time by 10 minutes each week.

Crunches with your legs at a 90 degree angle.
Start with however many you can do, but try to do 60.

Lie with your legs straight & your feet apart. As you lift one foot, crunch straight up. Return your foot to the floor and lift the other while crunching.

Grand pliés will help tone. Do 20-30 reps.

Keep exercising and eat less, you'll lose it eventually.
