  • I disagree, I think the intelligent thing to do, would be to not try what you know will hurt you. for example, I dont need to jump off a roof to know that it would hurt me, the temporary flying would be cool, but i know when i land i will regret it.
  • "Anything done in moderation is fine". Well, some drugs can kill you the first time you use them, if you have a bad reaction.
  • DMT is pretty intense. Make sure you don't have to do anything, like stand up, sit down, move, etc. Breathing is okay. I enjoyed it. Drugs in general are not a good idea however. They need to be managed for the best results in society. Too many people running around out of their minds on who knows what. If you are affected by hallucinogenics, don't drive. Certain things should not be done during certain drugs. Give someone your keys, sit in your car with friends and pretend your in a spaceship if your really high. It can be fun. Bleeding moderately is not fun. Some people have pretty weird perceptions on water. Wholesale use of drugs is ill-advised.

  • Never tried it, just because I don't run with the kind of crowd that uses it; although in light of what I've read in "DMT: The Spiritual Molecule", I'd be curious to try if it if the opportunity ever presented itself...
  • This question is stupid in so many levels that I will have to separate the sentences one by one, just to make people realize that there's such a thing as a "stupid question", and this is solid proof of it. "Why do people think all drug users are idiots?" I have had first-hand contact with drug users, both newbie users and veterans. They have several things in common: they don't type straight [when chatting], they don't walk straight, they don't think straight, and they ask questions like these. But when you ask them, they'd insist that it's the world that's screwed. "I think anything done in moderation is fine." before I bash this, let me say first that moderation is a subjective term. What is moderate for me may not be moderate for you; having sex eight times a day may be normal for some but too much for the rest of us who are not preoccupied with thoughts of screwing 24/7. Now following this logic, anything that you define as "moderation" is going to be acceptable. At this point I probably can get my colleague to agree with you, since he considers drinking 5 cups of coffe a day as 'moderate', or my friend who plays Everquest 18 hours a day [usually] and considers it extreme only when he clocks in 22 hours of daily online time. Then you can probably sniff that stuff together and agree on the next sentence. "It's cool to explore different perceptions on the universe." It continually amazes me how DRUG ADDICTS [forgive me for not using a politically correct term; but hey I'm not running for president and could care less] insist that using drugs allows them access to a "higher plane of perception". NEWS FLASH: Your neurons are firing like crazy and are merely producing HALLUCINATIONS when you're tripping. Surprised? Yeah, everyone knows this except you, since you skipped school and were too busy sniffing your pipe and deluding yourself that you're now some levels higher than the rest of us just because some white powder is coursing through your lungs. What you're feeling, what you're seeing, everything's an illusion. Things in your bedroom didn't begin floating on air when you began to sniff stuff nor did your room suddenly turn a shade of brilliant neon green. Your mom's not an alien. God hates you. "What do you think?" I think people like you should be banned from AnswerBag.
  • Jrc is correct - i don't need to stumble through a dark room if I can turn on the lights. One does not need to do drugs to have proof of the effect or to know that the end result is not positive. I on the other hand have done lots of drugs in my life and would never, ever consider doing another one. I don't buy the moderation line when it comes to chemically altering the brain for entertainment. The side effects of psycho-tropic drugs are unknown to each individual. If you're having to find new drugs to try then stop. I went to the point of inhaling propane for God's sake. When will your journey end?
  • Why yes, I have, and nothing expected occurred, but the satisfaction I felt for allowing myself to engage in the single most intense situation that I could was great. Imagine volunteering to get on a spaceship that would take you and you alone around the galaxy. I think that there are 2 opposing views on this choice, and that discussing it is pointless, you as a user should not look for acceptance for your choices, and as a non user you should not expect that anyone else's mind is going to be satisfied, before or after drug use, and can only hope that individuals partaking will be able to achieve peace of mind and get out of a drug using routine, and assist when needed. Moderation is not applicable to drugs, the nature of most is such that moderation cannot be applied as a standard, for example, how do you moderately smoke cigarettes? Half a pack when you drink? Or 1 a day? Whenever you are stressed? Its best to leave this whole mess to the individual, and we can all feel sorry for both the addict who has lost his mind, and the non user who will never experience "the experience" that would have given him peace of mind.
  • having used drugs(and I hate that title) for over 41 years I can truthfully say I wouldn't touch DMT with a ten foot barge pole ...or ice or ecstasy as you don't know whats in them and what they have been cut with ... and as far as other people who want to think I am an idiot well they can and I don't give a shit ...I have my 3 trade certificates and all my driving licences and tickets and find that most of these hypocrites get pissed most nights and smoke a packet or more of ciggies per day but don't concider them selves as drugs users
  • I have never tried DMT to settle the answer to that question, but I do have someone in my life that chooses to do things such as DMT. Why are drug users idiots? That is a very simply question. All drug users are idiots. And that is why people think that. I myself have used drugs only to find out it was the biggest idiot move I made one too many times. Your life soon becomes revolved around the happiness that a leaf or pill gives you. You find joy in shoving white powder up your nose. You have one life and you do not know what it is like to be happy by things such as falling in love with another person or laughing to an extreme with people you love because it was funny, not because you were all high. If you can't figure out your own perception of the universe, then you have failed yourself. You have failed to an extreme if you depend on a drug to make your own decisions. You cannot decide things on your own. You are weak. I think drug users think they are badasses and better than everyone else. I do not think it is their fault that they think this, I think that it is the drugs that do that to them. At one point I thought I was a badass and better than everyone else. The truth is I became a teenage girl who was not a badass but who got used mulitple times and I was better than noone. And every aspect of my life proved that during that time. Now that I'm sober and do not do drugs am I better than everyone else for real? NOPE! But I do know that I'm way better than the life I was living with drugs. I am way better than weed, coke, etc. So much better. and not afraid to say it. Soo..I hope you can find it in you to realize you are so much better than life with drugs.
  • nice sentiment, but coming from an ex addict, its kinda stupid too.its just too easy to become addicted to certain substances.every addict started using, thinking i'll just do this occasionally, special parties and sfuff, and before they know it they are selling everything they own to feed their habit.
  • i have not. i dont think drug users are idiots...i think they have problems. like everyone else. but come on YEAH LETS SMOKE CRACK IN MODERATION! oh wait....
  • don't listen to close minded people like the Mysterious Outlaw. This is someone who's never experienced drugs. Yes, there are drugs that can def. hurt you such as meth, cocaine, heroin, etc.), but there are psychedelics that do no harm if you use it moderately. DMT is a perfect example of this. DMT is a natural entheogen that is produced natural in your pineal gland. And funny enough even though it's a class I drug (More illegal than heroine), everyone uses it every night when we go to sleep, and has no harmful or addictive effects whatsoever. It produces a powerful experience that will most likely change your life forever so please if you're going to use it, please be careful; it is the most powerful psychedelic known to man and should be treated with respect. I for one never took DMT as I am waiting for my time, but I did my research and am vouching for many people that have. So go ahead, explore the different levels of consciousness and reality. There's nothing wrong with exploring life, and it will be by far one of the most important experiences of your life.
  • Yes, probably a hundred times or so. If you've never been there, I couldn't possibly describe it to you. One of lifes' weirdest and most intensly bizzare pleasures. To anwer the other question, well unfortunately drugs do happen to have a pretty bad rep at the moment. Too many take drugs to escape from the pain that their lives have become, and many people are unable to control their use and it causes all kinds of problems in their life. Unfortunately, all drugs get lumped together. But there is a lot of difference between smoking dmt, eating psilocybin mushrooms and injecting opiates or smoking meth in my opinion. For some though, drug use can be used as a means to further self exploration and enable deeper relationships with others.
  • Depends how you define drugs. The loose liberal definition that anything that alters the mind or body makes everything from water and aspirin to amino acids and vitamins. Coffee is a drug. Caffeine is an addictive drug and can be very dangerous in high doses and even lethal but I bet you sip your coffee or drink caffeine containing drinks without blinking an eye. Chocalate is loaded with phenethylamines which are chemically related to mescaline as well as containing chemicals similar to caffeine and amphetamines but that is harmless in moderation right. Peyote is listed as schedule I unless you are a Native American because it is supposedely dangerous but for some reason the Natives are just fine and doing great. It wasn't that long ago you could buy heroin over the counter, cannabis tinctures, cocaine wine and coca-cola loaded with cocaine. It wasn't until recently that some truly evil bastard decided to make drug use into a moral issue. It's not, and just because you think it is doesn't mean it is for everyone. You're just a mindless drone that does what they are told and that is what every good fascist wants from you. The Drug War is a horrendous failure and a massive success all at once, the biggest scam in history. But the military has no problems pumping amphetamines into soldiers, and doctors have no problems loading people on opiods and narcotics and all sorts of chemicals. But that's perfectly fine because the authority says so. People who don't question authority and do what they are told are dangerous idiots, and people who rebel for the sake of being rebellious are equally idiots. The Drug War is a horrible crime committed against humanity and the use of drugs can not and can never be a moral issue because to do so is a violation of the most basic rights of people to life, as everything you eat, drink and breathe are drugs according to the definition of drug given in a dictionary.
