  • I have lived in Cherokee, NC all of my life--28 years. You wouldn't believe how many tourists come here and say they have princesses in their lineage. Funny thing, the Cherokee didn't have princesses. If you can prove you're elligible to be an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, then you can have a cut of the casino's profits... Currently, every enrolled member gets a check for $4,000-6,000 every six months... maybe you should look into that!
  • To find out your degree of indian blood, you have to find your relative's name on the Dawes enrollee's list. The government has a form you can fill out with the information and they will issue a certificate of degree of Indian blood, called a CDIB. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certificate_of_Degree_of_Indian_Blood
  • Yeah right, you might want to find some other race you can pass yourself off as 'cause thats not gonna work. Maybe your part black because someone in your family can dance. Just because you watched smoke signals and have a dream catcher on the wall doesn't make you Indian. Be proud of what you are and get a life!
  • There was no such thing as an Indian Princess. A chief was not a king. It would simply be the daughter of a chief. A chief would be like a mayor in the white culture. Bluehen
  • Yes and my Grand Pappy was the original Howdy Doody !!!

  • Sorry dear, there are no Cherokee princesses. That doesn't mean your GGG wasn't Cherokee. Keep looking. My great grandmother was also a Cherokee.
