From those you can see that a Lot of flies do not Hibernate, having short lifespans. However, some flies do lay eggs that lie in wait through the winter, and as soon as a warm day occurs, they hatch and begin their life cycles.
"Cluster Flies" do infact hibernate though, normally in warm sucluded places in houses and sheds etc. Up and out of the way, they "sleep" in groups or "Clusters".
