  • if you haven't connected it once, read the manual. the remote has a red button your supposed to press in the same time with the Wii. check your batteries.
  • flip open the little door on the front of the wii and push the red button. then open the back of the wii remote and push the red button inside. this will synchoronize your remotes with the system. (a process that you have to do on more than one occasion.)
  • Press any button when the wii is on. Also, press the sync buttons if that doesnt work. Open the little door on the front of the console and open up the battery cover on the wiimote. Press the red button on the console, then the one on the wii. After the remotes are paired, it should connect when you push 1 and 2 together when the wii is on. If you still can't sync the controller, try putting new batteries in- who knows how long they have been in there! (some games will have a lo-batt alert on screen, but beware that not all games do this) THere are 4 lights on the controller. WHen you press the sync button, the number of flashing lights indicates battery power. 1 light is a low battery, but usually it will work. However, the speaker and the vibration of the remote usually works poorly or stops at this point. If there is a very dim light, or no light at all, the batteries are dead.
  • try syncing like the peoplehave said already also try new batteries the ones you used could be dead either that or the controller is busted that happened to me got one for x-mas and it wouldnt sync we tried numerous batteries but still wouldnt work
  • Try sinking it, or the battery. If it still doesn't work, see if its the remote that can turn on and off the wii, because that one normally sinks first(I labbled that one with a **). I got mine to work.(♥☺♥) **
