    Dan Bankhead on October 5, 1947 (6th game of the world series) as he made his World Series Debut as a pinch-runner.

    Satchel Paige was the first black pitcher to pitch in a World Series game, he appeared in relief and pitched 2/3 of an inning for the Indians against the Boston Braves on October 10, 1948.
