They will be dead. But more importantly, whatever animals were dependent on this species will now be effected greatly, including plant life as well. More specifically? The local bonobo fan club will have some unhappy members.

Bonobos are my favorite chimps. They are peace-loving and non-carnivorous, unlike the full-size chimps, who are warlike and cannibalistic. What I like best about the bonobos is that they resolve their disputes with *sex*. That's ALL disputes--social, food, everything. Diplomacy doesn't get any better than that! Sadly, whenever I try resolving problems via sex I just get slapped. Had to quit when it became too painful. :-(
