  • People still read books. However, reading to pass time is becoming more rare as the Internet and other media take over our lives. I read a few thousand pages a year for fun.
  • I think a lot of people do read books still. It could be your age group that is making it seem like nobody reads.
  • There are lotsa people who read books. I actually read text books for fun if you can believe it. But I must admit, there are many who could stand to pick up a book for once. It could do them good.

  • You're probably hanging out with a dissimilar crowd. Many of my friends only read the back of the cereal box, while others can't stop reading even during conversations. Personally I'll read just about anything (Except romance novels) from technical or text books to sci-fi and adventure through to biographies and histories. Never stop reading; if you're friends aren't cool enough to train their intellects, that's their problem.
  • Judging by the question, it must ruin your grammar. Kids still read, I'm 14 and read a 400 page novel every week.
