What are the names of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

    Only the fourth horseman is named. His name is Death and he rides on the pale horse. The other riders are historically called Conquest on the white horse, War on the firey red horse, and Famine on the black horse.

    There have been many interpretations about what these horsemen mean. Each generation has its own interpretations or ideas about the book of Revelations, the book in the Bible where these horsemen are found.

    I am no Bible scholar so I won't add in my two cents. Here is the the chapter from the book of Revelations that deals with these horsemen.

    Revelations 6:1-8
    1 I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the four living creatures say in a voice like thunder, "Come!" 2 I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest.
    3 When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!" 4 Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword. 5 When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. 6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" 7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

    Horses and their riders

    In summary, the horses and their riders as described in the Bible are as follows:

    The word used to describe the colour of the 'pale' horse is the Greek word chloros or green. It is meant to convey the sickly green tinge of the deathly ill or recently dead. Since the literal translation 'green' does not carry these connotations in English the word is rendered 'pale' in most English translations.

    More interesting are the names of the HORSES of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
    Death's horse is called Binky.
    Conquest's horse is called Bon-Bon.
    Famine's horse is called Pasta and War's horse is called Penelope (he really does not like to talk about it though...)

    The four horsemen are often accociated with the angels of the four winds: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel.

    These angels are also found in the Book of Enoch (book of the watchers)

    pay close attention to Rev. 19 :11 Conquest, the one who Conquers!!! this is God...in my reasoning..."the one sitting was named Faithful and True -the one who JUSTLY PUNISHES AND MAKES WAR" only God is JUST/JUSTICE....HIS title was ,"THE WORD OF GOD"(john 1:1-3, Jesus was the WORD and the WORD was GOD)

    the others are only described
    white has a bow he's given a crown and rides our like as conquerer bent on conquest
    red represents war and is given a sword and the power to make people kill each other
    and black holding scales he's supposed to have said "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

    so only one has a name
    the colors are
    red black pale and white
    and there definitely is no pestilence
    (although in some translations death is named plague which is synonimous to pestilence)

    The name of the Four Horsemen, in order are Conquest, (not Pestilence. This interpretation is generally espoused by those unfamiliar with the actual Bible texts which describe the Four Horsemen) War, Famine, and Death.

    as a cryptic message its not the riders but the horses that bare the riders that is significant each horse is a symbol the rider is what the horse bring us and saying death as a name is wrong death has no name therefore the meaning of the rider is what the horses brings us the pale horse (pale colors are often used to demonstrate the sickly near death people) therefore the pale horse brings us death, the red horse (red being a color of anger) brings us War, black horse (black often being a color of nothing or meaning nothing) brings us famine or NO food it brings us the nothing, and the white horse brings us the light the salvation of the fall from the first three horses and their riders it brings us the conquest of man ...life ...this is my interpretation at least people think that man is the more significant creature therefore he becomes the main focus thus is why people focus on the horse men but in the great fairy tales of the bibles everything is equal therefore everything has a bigger part

    If you are thinking of the four horsemen as Individuals,in witch should be the case you have got to look at the details.

    Horsemen number 1 i have no clue as of yet.

    Horsemen#2:Atilla the Hun.

And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword."
    Atilla the hun was given power by Rome to bring wars and crusades.Some even resolved to killing themselves and their own families before Atilla came.One of Atilla's comerads also found the great broadsword of Aries and it was given unto him.Indeed the second horsemen has passed.

    Third horsemen i believe it to be Hebert Hoover.

    The war on terrorism has reached its own soil of the USA..GW Bush has had the authority to issues the execution of any *suspected terrorists* as commander in chief.So he can kill people in the USA and in the muslim nations as well..and he did.GW bush came from the Skull and bones Order of Yale university..The order of *death*.

    Now Rumsfeld for the Hell part..(and Hell was following close behind him.)Some believe Hell to be actually Hades.Rumsfeld had a key hand in legalising aspartane within product around the entire of north America.Rumsfeld also poisoned our foods in more than one way.The least known one is by animal influenza and the merging of pesticides within edible plants.

    So thats my take on it and i think i am right...(i think)

    my understanding is that the question is asking the names of the HORSES, not the horseMEN, if any.i think the horses are included in the representation of the rider by color ONLY, 'adding to the affect' if you will. according to the video game DARKSIDERS, War's horse(red horse)is named Ruin_so... i think you've got creative freedom as to what you think the horses should be named_knock yourself out kiddo_ word.
