I consider myself to be very religious and I laugh at myself all the time. As for being able to prove it, here is one example (http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/2153695). If you look around AB long enough, you will find more examples of my self deprecating sense of humor. Additionally, one of my mottos in life is, "Life is too much fun to be taken entirely seriously. So, I don't." Finally, I tell my students that I like to tease people. However, I also don't like getting into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
