Set the bar high and reach for goals. Goals are always good to have because it keeps us motivated and determined, but I keep my goals "feasible" so that I'm not completely disappointed. I mean....seriously....if I had a goal to marry Jon Bon Jovi (OMG he's a hottie) I'd be seriously disappointed and heartbroken!!! LOL

A) If it's achievable is good, B) if it's an impossible dream it's not. A = incentive to go after it B = Probable destructive obsesion

Its good as well as bad. would I ask for the moon when I know I can never have it. No I would not. But I know I can travel to the moon someday.thats how I look at it.dreaming is healthy and desiring a positive outcome is good. but set yourself a limit and dont expect too much from it. In the mean time be open to other opportunities life brings up.

Agreeing with babyghost in that there are both good and bad aspects. The 10 Commandments tells us not to covet your neighbor's house, wife, and/or possessions. However, to have a personal goal to acquire one or more of these possessions for yourself is not sinful (IMHO).

If it is something we can eventually have, like setting a goal to reach, is good. Wanting something you can never have to the point you covet it and do despicable things to get it is bad.

Good thing. Were it not for this desire, no one would ever put forth initiative. But, this desire can be bad, in the extreme.
