I never have myself, but if something like this happens on any kind of regular basis, I'd tell the person that they might be a shopaholic.

Lol! I've done something similar a couple of times, basically put it all at the back of my wardrobe and made out I bought it over a period of time -- like 10 days. Generally that arises from my own guilt though, I've never needed to do it, I generally won't spend large amounts of money unless it's my own. If it's someone else's, I try and clear it with them first... and they can usually tell by credit card bills how much I've bought and spent.

This is a man answering this question, from a different angle. Man was married to a woman. she bought so many clothes, etc. on her credit card, that she had no place to hide them. she would hide the credit card receipts from her husband. this continued for about two years. finally, the credit cards were maxed-out and then the s___ hit the fan. her husband discovered her fetish for clothes. The end results? bankruptcy, divorce and the yard sale from heaven. True story.

No, not at all. I would never even considering hiding things from my husband. We are a team, and don't work against one another. There is so much more to life than shopping for me, anyway. Sometimes we decide to purchase something, or realize the need for a new item of clothing or two, but I don't believe in shopping for shopping's sake. It's a cultural illness.

i wish i could go shopping and feel the need to hide things! we dont have the money for shopping sprees but i used to buy a few outfits then model them 2 my boyfriend its my money i dont think he should complain anyway as long as im spending money, not on cards they i cant pay back thats unfair and pointless

I never have that much money to spend to worry about hiding anything, unfortunately.... :o(
-
I don't spend that much money on clothes.
-
No, I am the one who does the bill paying in our family. I don't spend money we don't have, it is too hard to earn.
-
No, I just buy bargain shoes and smuggle them into the house. Not a finacial problem, just a storage issue.
