Yes, there are several ways ... the best way for you will depend on what part of the world you are in ... ... Here in Canada, right after the call, we have a two digit "star code" that immediately logs the phone records to the police so they will know the time the call was made, time ended, numer called from, and of course your number ... then your lawyer can get those police records for you.

Yes, take the number to your cell phone provider. They have the name. And they must legally intervene and/or give you a new number.
