Who else thinks we need to do more to get rid of those people who say bad stuff about other Abers like Crystal Clear of blue,Eric ,BabyCakes etc?

Why do people have to be nasty like that? I don't understand it. I haven't come across anything here, but came from a very bad bad place with lots of that stuff going on. I think it's pure jealousy.

I'm not sure are those ABers, but I had someone actually call me an Idiot in a comment on my answer, and I said nothing idiotic at all. I would have liked to complain or do something about that comment. There is no need to Degrade anyone on here.

i think it is really mean and rude. I had an issue once, but it got cleared up pretty quickly. But it is so mean and its really not needed. It just makes people sad... and that is not the reason behind AB

It takes all kinds to make the world go round. To acknowledge there comments will only serve to encourage them more. All you have do is become thick skinned.

Some users seem to love using the anonyminity of this site to say things they would never say in person. It is the nature of the internet to be able type rude, hurtful words and never have have any consequences. Other users think that AB is too dry and serious, and they use controversy to liven it up.

am not sure abou the other abers, but i do kno babycakes and think she is a genuwine person.. am sure the rest of the abers are nice people as well.. i dont understand why would people say such harsh and terrible stuff.. they need to fix up!!.

There are so many people in this world like that, happens right in small communities I find.The best thing to do is ignore them and you'll be the better person,but talk to the person who the stories were told to and tell them what's going on.If that person is any kind of a friend they wouldn't believe the stories anyway...Most people can read that type of a trouble maker .The way I see things is if their talking about me their leaving someone else alone.I have wide and strong shoulder's so let them bring it on.lol

I view this question as absolute nonsense, especially since you took a shot at Babycakes, who happens to be a very kind person. As for the other two, I don't agree with you about them, either. Please grow up. If you're going to trash talk people in a question, at least have the decency to give a link to the posts you are complaining about. Since you did not do that, you are coming off as childish (to me anyway). I am not going to jump on your bandwagon just because you have something nasty to say about three people who you don't happen to like. The only evidence you have provided to support your claim is opinion evidence, and it isn't even speaking well for itself. Therefore, I disqualify it in my mind. As for everyone else, I encourage you to think for yourself instead of agreeing with a question just because someone took the time to post it.

I agree and wish there was something we could do but there isn't. Staff could close/ delete their account but they will just open a new one and nothing changes. Thanks for the question:)

The only practical solution is to pressure the staff to appoint more Community Leaders so that these trolls can be dealt with swiftly. Right now we have only 3 (Tani, Galeanda, and LynfromNM). It's just not reasonable to expect them to be online all the time to deal with each outbreak of idiocy.

There are few ways to really eliminate their access to the site. One way (this would be an AB staff thing) would be to block at the IP address level. I think that the people on this site that have been around awhile do a pretty good job of seeing an abuser and flagging them quickly. We do a pretty good job of covering each other and helping new users that are serious about using the site learn and grow. Those new users (as I was last year) learn quickly who are good and learn to ID the "evil doers" and support the decent folk that make up the bulk of AB.

everyone did take care of these fools and will continue to do so ..and I agree with 'nelson' about the IP addresses its the only way to slow and stop these 'things' from getting continual access to AB

Eh. I was kind of disappointed I wasn't mentioned actually when that one guy (I'm assuming it's a guy) said that certain AB members had died. And, I can't imagine anyone taking that stuff seriously. However, at the same time, I don't really like to see a question stating that an AB friend of mine has died (even if I can easily figure out that it's BS). So, for that reason, I'll say, yeah, more should probably be done about it.

I think people should quit paying attention to them and their stupid questions. They do it for attention and they get it every time.
