  • Yes, providing that the NiMH batteries are the same type and produce the same output voltage (e.g., replacing NiCD 'AA' or 'C' batteries with NiMH 'AA' or 'C' batteries, respectively). If the device uses a proprietary battery pack, you may not be able to use a different type of battery unless the manufacturer produces a physically and electrically compatible substitute battery pack or you can have one custom made for the application.
