Question

Help answer this question below.

My 2001 Lincoln Navigator makes a sound similar to a car horn whine when at idle sometimes. Revving up the engine makes it go away. Any ideas on what may be causing this?

Two things do that, The Idle Air Control or at the back of the upper intake the vacuum elbow that goes to the PCV valve gets destroyed by oil and makes a flutter noise. Its hard to reach so follow the hose back from the PCV. Good luck
