Because the men who patrol the streets, run into burning buildings owned by strangers to put the flames out, fix our roads, teach our children, plow our streets, and willing to take a bullet for you don't work for free, and shouldn't.

If we didn't pay taxes we would have no roads, no schools, no hopitals, no parks, no mail, no sanitation. The list goes on and on.

I don't mind paying taxes. I mind the mismanagement of the taxes I pay.

This question makes no logical sense.
How can I answer an illogically asked nonsensical
    question as this. Seriously.

Supposedly ... taxation in a republic is a voluntary contribution from the members of the body politic toward the costs of running the State and contributing to the general welfare.

People work for money, which is fine.

People pay other people to do work, which is fine.

Taxation FORCES people to buy things. Not fine in my book.

I think we are unconstitutionally taxed and it has risen to the level of theft. We are not supposed to be taxed multiple times on the same earnings, yet we pay income tax, property tax, and sales tax.

It is pefectly logical. Which bit isn't logical?

    Theft wrong?

Taxation (taking money without permission to use on services) = theft.

Perfect logic, unlest you are a Communist I guess, who doesn't beleive in individual liberty.

So theft is O.K. as long as you give it to a good cause then?

    Robin Hood rule O.K.

So when a mugger robs a granny to feed his child, that be O.K. too, right?

Taxation is fine on a small level, however redistribution of wealth is not, which is what I don't understand why people accept it.

I've noticed the attitude that most folks have no problems with being taxed, provided it's everyone else being taxed.
