How do you think the sex and violence on TV and in video games will effect the next generation of adults?

its alreday effecting "them" in being one of them have witnessed so much of this, ad its really horrible when i think of my generation, that is all i see

While I’m not convinced there is, or will be any time soon, a major shift in morality/socially accepted behavioral norms due to increased media-served sex & violence (either in quantity or intensity), there is likely a gradual, incremental change. I’d be more concerned with *the amount of information*, regardless of the moral impact, as it is likely to influence an adults attention span, either in the boardroom or bedroom or the spaces in-between. This will probably have a larger impact on society, as I see it (for whatever that’s worth) in terms of overall contentment. Negative? Positive? Who really knows the value of these things? For the most part, society has operated within the rule of law; perceived deviations tend to be a dual function of enforcement and awareness (more information). Even given an incremental change on morality, these things have historically corrected (overcorrected) themselves in a cyclical fashion. We’ve got some way to go before we make a Caligulan Roman blush or squeamishly turn away.
