What is a "Knick"?

    In relation to the name of the team . . . there isn't a "Knick". The name is in reference to Knickerbockers, after Father Knickerbocker, the symbol of New York City. It soon was shortened to Knicks.

    Knickerbockers were a form of short pants rolled up just below the knee.

    Knickerbockers A.K.A. Knickers. They wear knickers in britain, not shorts lol. Essentially, its same shit different name. But yeah, thats what a knicker is, shorts.
