  • yes. dna from people all over the world has been sampled and comparisons made. different races, ethnic groups and even areas of the world have markers that are similar within their particular group. I recently saw a program on tv that tested several celebrities(Oprah is the only one I remember) to see if they were of mixed race and what area of the world their people came from. They pin-pointed tribal areas in africa for each of the african american's involved, and knew which ones had caucasian genetic markers as well. if you are interested, try researching genetics or you might find links on public broadcasting's site.
