Help answer this question below.

Have 93 ford explorer. 4x4 button on dash does not light up when pressed and the 4 wheel drive will not engage.Checked all relays and fuses.Could it be a bad switch? If its not the switch, then what is it?Manuals are no help on this topic.

im not to sure, but we had this problem also. we ended up getting manual locking hubs which are alot easier and more reliable to use

check to see if it has a vacum line on the front axle or the tranfer case if it does look to see if it is good , or it can be the switch be bad to
