Last year I filed a joint return with my husband, he was eligible for and received a $1800 economic stimulus check. This year we are not filing a joint return will I have to pay any of this money back? My husband was the primary on the tax return.

Was hoping for some free advice, thanks

Well, you can take free advice, but you run the risk that it isn't correct, and if you follow it and it is wrong, then you and only you pay the consequences. CPAs and Attorneys are licensed professionals, if they give you incorrect advice you can at least sue them.

The other thing you can do is get the tax forms and read the directions. They are usually on display at any public library.
